ley (被认为是沿古代踪迹的路线并具有超常力量的)假想线,轮作的草地来自lea的拼写变体。由1921年英国业余考古学家Alfred Watkins杜撰出来的一个词,他在研究英国的古文化遗址的时候偶然发现这些遗址可以约略连成一条线,因此假想出一个名词ley line. 随后该发现引起世界各地考古学家的极大兴趣。但后来证实,这一假设就类似于计量经济学,给予足够多的数据,很容易就能构造出一些假说,但往往经不住推敲。
